I am sure there will be long list of buyers once the strobing is fixed.

3 things needed
1) no error code
2) true lci look
3) no strobing

I know 1 & 2 have been accomplished, once strobing has been fixed, let the sales begin.
Bruce you have done a wonderful job with all of you work, keep it up. It is much appreciated.
just to confir, the strobing issue. Its just when the car is first turned on, the rear taillights will flahs rapidly? then it stops? if so, when? and doesnt come back while driving? if so, it doesnt sound like a big deal

No one wants to lend me the Aftermarket lights for me to work out the solution for the strobing issue quickly. This is basically what is slowing the entire process down. Buying new ones is not really something I want to do.

Bruce I am with you man. Trust me if I had a set I would have sent them to you a while ago. I saw you posted a thread in the classifieds section. I believe forum member "bmwbonehead" offered to send you his lights. Please someone send Bruce the aftermarket tail lights.

Keep up the good work!

Would be interested to see some feedback here from the people who have now received their lights. Is all OK?

I have a few sets ready but ones that suffer from the strobing issue. If anyone is interested in them please PM me with your email address.

Bruce,

I had BMW hook up my car to their computers and it basically gave me an error report stating that the Light Module (LM) was required to be replaced. It also gave me a part number for the LM which was 61359137776.

I went ahead and ordered this part - it runs for $350. As soon as it arrives I will have BMW replace the one in my car and should stop the strobing.

We will just have to wait and see.

I would be extremely surprised if that stops the strobing. The strobing is actually the LCM checking the 'normal' bulbs and because the car is still programmed as an pre-LCI car, the LCM will still continue to send the pulse and so the LEDs will still strobe. Unless you can get your dealer to program your LCM as an LCI which I highly doubt.

But it only looks that way for the first few seconds when you start your car, not after that.

Even after the strobing stops - I noticed on my car that it does periodic strobing of the brake lights but not the indicator lights. Its really fast strobing that sometimes can be seen if you stare at the car.

The LCM will be programmed with the LCI software not the pre-LCI. The diagnostic system at BMW has the option of programming the LCM with the retrofit settings - I have seen it.

Anyways, lets wait and see what happens when I get the LCM next week! am so excited! Lets pray that this kills this strobing issue.

There is no strobing on taillights when light switch is at the "auto" or any "on" position when you start. Strobing occurs only when switch is at the off "0" position ...but turning lights are strobing only once (so fast that it is hard to see on daylight) on either case. Turning lights are also strobing once (that fast again) every 5 min
