Root, I bet you have the latest WDS 11.0. Why dont you simply find out the equivalents between the two and proceed.

Rootkey, I looked on the WDS for you and there does not seem to be any difference between the US and EU cars. However there are 4 different schemes depending on when your car was made.

1st - Upto 2005-03,
2nd from 2005-03 to 2005-09
3rd from 2005-09 to 2007-03
4th 2007-03 onwards.

What car is yours

There is just no difference at all. Normally if there are differences in the WDS they show up as US, JAPAN specifically. But for the headlights, nothing.

I suspect the Retrofit kit is refering to a wiring scheme that is a different age than your car, may 2nd or 3rd from my list above.

that's strange, can you please compare my car to an '07 LCI wiring schematic?
I checked the wires to the LCI Retrofit manual. some wire colors are the same and the ones that are different is half off. The gauge size thickness all are very similar. for example: "red/blue" would be "brown/blue" for one pin of the X13421 8 pins plug. however for the 4 pins x10609, most of the coloring don't even match at all.

Rootkey, I think you've fallen foul to the BMW age issue. I've checked the WDS and compared it with the LCI Retrofit kit. The Kit seems to be for cars from 2005-03 onwards and not for your car.
I'm sure I will be able to work out some equivalent connections if you are willing to experiment.

Crazy, in the LCI retrofit manual--made no mention to what year of the car. it says "valid for cars with SA 522 (BiXenon) or SA 525 (AHL)." Yes, i'll have to definitely experiment with the equivalent connection.

Another few important things, it applys to car before 2005. The "actuator" can be reuse for the new LCI headlight. However the "bulb and unit" & "ignitor" need to be replaced!! also, need to buy the clips that hold the xenon in place.

The LCI retrofit install guide apply to only BiXenon and AHL. The halogen to xenon conversion requires a different retrofit first.

Can you please guide me, what are the items that I need to retrofit from halogen to xenon, Is it simply plug and play?

Ballast, Ignitors, Bulbs, Headlights assy? Anything else? I think I need another adapter, but not sure

Please help

Thanks
