yah $4k is not worth it.. lol!

The bigger question is, when you retrofit these things, does BMW provide full warranty on them too?

On warranty I'm not sure. I would think so since it is a dealer option.
Yes, it cost an arm and a leg! If you guys shop around and know a good dealer that can do for less or have a newer car. the price can probably be less than ~3k.

The route for me:

- LCI LED taillights
- Bruce's retrofit cable
- Slightly used eurospec pre-LCI headlights from Europe

~$1,600

I agree..4k is too much. I have an 06 and now waiting for my 08 and to be honest, i did not see much difference. There are some but not something like night and day...

WOW,..Do the new headlights come only in AHL?

What if we want to convert from halogens to the LCI's headlights?

Do we have to buy the AHL module also?

Thanks

Fred, it's written on the plastic bag in the first pic.

For now, I advise everyone NOT to buy or do the retrofit yet! I took the car to dealer, they encountered problems with the kit. The retrofit cable set for headlight does not match up with the pre-lci wiring. The colors of the wiring according to the TIS .pdf instruction is different than the wires. not so sure why...the lci retrofit is just for europe only? I'll keep everyone updated.
