I just wanted to know, on the LCI LED taillights, are the turn signals red or amber? personally I'd prefer amber, but I must confess I LOVE the look of the LCI Taillights, so I might have to live with red turn signals. Let me know!!

red.
I think they're Red for US spec and Amber for Euro spec.

Are the Eurospec taillights backward compatible with a 2005 545i? Because I would absolutely prefer the Amber turn signals.

What do you mean backwards?

Anyway, you'd have to get a retrofit cable to make the LCI LED tail lights fit your pre-LCI car. Check out this thread (long read): http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=42133

Basically, contact Bruce_Miranda for info on the cables.

By "Backward Compatible" I meant just about exactly what you stated. My car is a pre-LCI E60 545i, and I understand that there would have to be cables (Bruce Miranda) to make the LCI LED taillights work on my car. My specific question was about he Eurospec LCI LED Taillights with the amber turn signals, are they compatible with my car. This is because I would MUCH rather have Amber turn signals instead of the red offered in the US spec LCI LED Taillights.

Yes, they will work if you have Bruce's cables. I have the Eurospec LCI tail lights and had just gotten Bruce's cable last week. Everything worked except there seems to be something wrong with the right side cable which resulted in intermittent power to one of my right brake bulbs. I just returned them to Bruce to diagnose the problem.

By the way, where does one get Eurospec LCI tailights in the first place?

Check with EuroRev. They're in SoCal. They were the supplier for the group buy so I'm sure they can still get you the Eurospec version.
