The cable connection works a treat with my 5th Gen 80Gb Ipod. Playlists, track names- all displayed properly. IMO well worth the ?200 it cost to have fitted.

You need someone to fit the cable ?
Surely the whole idea of the USB connect is jut to run a cable from the bottom of the Ipod into the USB port inside the central cubby-hole. Even utterly non-techies like me are supposed to be able to do that.
You're saying it cost you the equivilent of 396 USD for someone to fit the cable between your Ipod and the USB port. Which lottery did you win dubbers ?

Has anyone had the problem with their ipod not being recognized or even coming on after being hooked up with the USB Audio Interface (option 6FL) cable.
To get it to work again I have to do a reset on the ipod. The good thing about is my playlists are still listed. Any iformation will be appreciated.
