Anyways, contrary to what the company claims this is NOT going to be a 2-hour/easy install. You're going to have to extend all of the door wires going into each door. That's about a dozen wires per door, two solders per wire (and if you use crimps and not solders you suck). They do this all the time on Unique Whips and it takes Chet about five hours just to do the wire extensions.

Scissor doors are over-the-top on any car IMHO, but I suppose you can accept them on an over-the-top car like a Lambo (or on the SLR, which seems to be a car more for appearance than performance

I'm not into it for an E60. However, lets adress what stream says here in this post. Last time I checked, the SLR is definitely NOT more about looks than performance. Have you ever looked at the performance specs on that car? It's an animal. Maybe equally as impressive in the looks dept. as the performance dept. I think that's more like it.

Wow! $2,500 is kind of expensive. I have came across this dillema a while ago. Lambo doors for $49.99
I dropped the idea after throughly thinking about it. I still think it looks awsome, but I just can't justify to do it on my own car. You should do it and share your picture with us, less brave ones.

[/quote]it comes with a 14inch wire extensions so you dont have to make you bundles...so the work chet does is already done, but i see your point

Looks like i am saying no to the Lambo Doors and i am just going to buy the car that started the though in my head in the first place A 1981 Delorean, I have always like the car for its design and look, I am bidding on one on ebay now...I will save the lambo doors for the M6...
