I am new to the forums and have a question regarding some used coilover I purchase. On both back shock, when I compress down the rod, it does not rebound back up. I know this is sign that the shock is blown for most shock. But I have read and I want to reconfirm before I install these, is that with the KW V2, this is normal. Can someone who have/has/seen these coilover can say this is normal? This is only on the back 2 shock and the front rebound fine with compressed down.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have KW's, I have ksports, but sounds like they are toast.
How many miles on them?

Thanks for confirming it! Also, does it require spacer on stock wheels?

The rear shouldn't need spacers.

My factory fronts (124's with Potenza RFT's) rubbed the KWv2's after installing them on my 2007 550i. The workaround for me was to raise (by threading it up the shock column) the lower spring perch above the point that it was hitting the tire/wheel. To get the car lower, I had to install spacers that push the tire/wheel far enough away from the KWv2 so that the lower spring perches could reside at or closer to the ground than the top of my tire.
