You who have installed the K&N filter, did you have to do any reprogramming to the engine whatsoever ?
Or just taking the original out, putting K&N in, and that's it. So simple ??
Hartsa
Simple as plug and play. No need to mod or do anything.

I bought the H&N filter, but it seems to match the orange filter that many say to remove. It does not match the charcoal filter that sits on the top of the air filter area (with clips).

Is the idea to replace the orange filter with the H&N filter and completely remove the top charcoal filter?
Best regards,
Richard

Yes. This is exactly what you do. Takes 2 seconds to swap and is great.

No! You can even remove the regular filter if you want.

But of course it's bad for your engine.

Is removing the charcoal filter bad for the engine as well?

I don't know, I read on this forum that it's some kind of new US law that requires US automobile manufacturers to put this in. As in whether or not it is illegal to remove it, I'm still trying to find out.

No. If it was, every car in the US would have to be outfitted with a charcoal filter.
