Harry....actually you can get the BMW connectors for the cig lighter socket connectors....

FINALY my new box with lid arrived yesterday and fitting in was no problem.
It?s realy huge in opposite to the old open one.
Cost is 50 Euro in Germany and it?s worth it!

So thanks for your Infos Hobi and now I?m looking forward for this lighter retro fiting

Can't we (americans) buy the cut out piece AND the replacement cubby hole drawer and then retrofit both pieces?

I think there is an airbag there or extra padding.

Can you believe this??? Called my dealer with the partnumber for a LHD beige interior and he cannot find it!!! WTF???

Any other dutch members that have trouble ordering this partnumber??

No dutch but german.

I figured out that my dealer (no private dealer) used the 01/05 ETK so this part isn?t listed.
He said, he hates the new ETK and his company came across to use the old one as long as possible.

So I had to show them wehere to find and explain what I mean. Named "Klappfach" in german. The problem is, that part exists just since 03/05 and most dealers are not aware something has changed in the 5?series interior.

It took about 2 weeks till they get it. Other parts come in 24 hours.

Great! I can make a printout then and show my dealer what I mean.. That wil be cool if I have a fresher ETK then they have..
