definetly not doubting the original poster at all because he's the first to paint/install it and it looks awesome! i just need some concrete clarification because i have heard conflicting answers of yes/no'to the brake ducts. don't want to buy anything unnecessary right now.
To clarify everything. The brake ducts basically creates a tunnel or a passageway to get to the bottom front of the fender liner. If you turn your wheels all the way to the right or left, you will be able to see the other section of the duct on the bottom front part of the fender liner. So there is actually two sections of the brake duct. You will still have the back section even after you remove the one on your bumper so air will still be guided from the bumper to the brakes, just not as efficient. So its really up to you if you want to put it back on or not. Hope this clarifies it a little bit.

Thank you for offering this. The ducts are not necessary unless you really want to complete the look on the back end, but front end - if you can take a few more pictures - it would clarify.

I appreciate what you've done and are willing to d Thank you.

These bumpers cannot be shipped to Canada, they can however be shipped to a cross border location for pick up.

Hey Guys, it's confirmed that these brake ducts are for the OEM M5 bumper:
51117895743 Air duct left @ $45.00 & 51117895744 Air duct right @ $45.00
with the brackets:
51117906473 left Bracket for air duct @ $17.25 & 51117906474 right Bracket for air duct @ $17.25

These are for the OEM M-Tech bumper:
51117896587 FRONT LEFT BRAKE AIR DUCT, @ $26 & 51117896588 FRONT RIGHT BRAKE AIR DUCT, @ $26
(so far, it seems the brackets are not needed for the M-Tech setup)

So, it's either $124.50 or $52.00 (plus shipping). Pricing quoted from Gary @ Newport BMW.

We just have to find out what parts fit on the Umnitza bumper... It's confusing because the bumper should be an M-Tech, but it looks like the M5...

Who ever gets the bumper shipped / installed first, please update the rest of us on what we should order.

on post # 17 of this link, AlexFW seems to have modded the OEM 530i ducts to work on an M-bumper:
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...ducts&st=15
did anyone confirm if Mtech brake air duct fit umnitza bumper or not?
i have LCI model, just got the bumper, not sure if LCI and pre-LCI have same brake air duct or different
