I was getting vibration under braking, also, I recently went to get new front tires. While they had the car on the lift they asked when I had my last alignment (my old front tires were worn on the inside edge), I told them I had the alignment done not even 6 months ago so I didn't even have 7k miles since. They took a pry bar and showed me the flex in the control arms - that made it pretty clear. When we took my old lower control arms off the bushing had a crack that went all the way around like a ring around the bolt hole, then the upper control arms had cracks in the "arms" of the inner bushing as well as radial cracks around the edges of the bushings.
