Why would you replace power steering fluid reservoir?

On our cars you have to replace the reservoir, it has a filter in it that cannot be replaced, you have to just replace the reservoir. They can be had for around $20 on eBay so it's not that bad

Why did you go just cross-drilled over drilled/slotted?? Is cross drilled better performing for this particular size or what?

Realistically, unless you track your car it makes little or no difference whether you get drilled/slotted, slotted, or drilled. They are mainly for looks and spirited driving, and even then the Hawk HPS, the stainless brake lines, and the higher performance brake fluid are more of a factor. Mainly I went with drilled for a more OEM look, the M5 comes with drilled rotors, no car that I know of comes with slotted rotors stock. I was going for a more aggressive look, slightly better performance, while maintaining a "sort of" OEM look and feel.
