Anyone checked this?
I have exactly the same problem, the lower rod is not as bright/flickering,i've had this for a while but thought the cable's may have needed soldering/cleaning etc, very wierd as it's doing this on both side's.

I've seen this happen before. Your battery may be low. Start the car and check when the engine is running. The old V5s were power hungry and because those LEDs are wired in series the last one is suffering. I got rid of this issue for good on the V6.
Sound's like that's the problem,how much for the new v6 cable's Bruce?

OK update. When the car is off with sidelight on, the bottom rod doesn't work on both lights. When engine is on only the one pictured doesn't work. Uh? May also have to upgrade to V6's

unplug Bruce cable and apply 3.6V to that two pin thus to check cable issue or light issue.

On the V5s there is a big capacitor that charges very slowly so although the rod may seem like its not on to begin with, given some time it will light up normally. This is one more area that was completely redesigned with the V6.

There is a special price for previous customers who want the V6. Please PM me for details.

As mentioned, this is a battery charge related issue and if the battery is charged up well, it charges the kit components faster.
