I want an iPod interface adapter(Y cable) to work with my 2009 530d(new iDrive). Can anyone tell me where I can get one? Getting it in a BMW dealership is expensive. Is there a way I can get the original one outside for a better price? Thanks a lot.

 

I personally have this thing that I always try to get the better cables. Caught this bug from the audiophile hobby I'm cultivating in the closet, but in home audio - even in iPod docks on a clear enough system - you'll definitely hear the difference in quality. So naturally, I'd recommend getting the best on the market. As to which one specifically - I actually don't know, I have not yet installed the iPod dock in my car.
