I have the ipod retrofit. Lost the cd changer, got the ipod hooked up

I think it stinks, I have a 60gb ipod and can onluy see 1/4 of my songs, lists, etc...

Each time I look at the liists it doesnt remember where I left off. Have to go through all the A's, B's, etc.....

1) Has BMW come up with anything better yet?
2) Should I got to AUX (I've never tried that)
3) Any other solution?

ive had the same thread with the only answer is, thats it.i guess we just wasted a cupple hundred dollars. i hate that if your listening to a comedy cd on a long drive,get out for gas and get back in(turn the car off and on) it starts the cd or song from the start again.and if your at the end of the alphabet and want to listen to some artist in the middle of the alphabet you have to start from the letter a. big waste of money. what do you mean should i try it in aux? you mean instead of cd? if you that works lets me know.

IDRIVE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

ford has got a new system which looks prepared for all kinds of toys. only read the commercial page with big pictures and stuff. since i have no intention of buying a ford yet.

btw speaking bmw. i found out some broken isolation board under my car discovered it after guarantee time. they will replace it next week(for free) as well theywill change some gasspring and they will solve again the sqeeuking rubber noise when driving in my doors. might ask if i can get some price reduction on the idrive update so that i can play at least mp3 in my 1990's cd player. 170 euro for software update only to play mp3 hmmmm. no other problems with the car yet only idrive wuish i coudl replace it for a better and cheaper system.
