Greetings all,

I am new to the e60 world as well as this forum. I think this is an awesome site!

I tried to do a search on the IPOD integration information via this forum and could not come up with much, so please excuse me if this question seems repetitive.

I have an early model 04' 545i sport w/ Nav & Bluetooth. Is it possible to integrate my Ipod with the I-drive system? If so how? I hear things all over the board at the dealers so I figure I will try to hit someone that has already done it or someone who knows.

Thanks,
Will

Andy's 545i is a MY2005. I was told last year that the IPOD interface did not work with the MY2004 cars.

Has this changed?

There have been many different stories on the ipod interface working with certain build date cars. The newest info is that it works on all e60's from SOP, with or without nav. Have your dealer look up Dealer Bulletin 65 08 06. There was an older Dealer Bulletin 65 06 06 that stated it only worked with certain build dates. Make sure your dealer is not referring to that one, as it has been updated. I confirmed all the above by calling the person at BMWNA that wrote both bulletins.

I have a 3/04 build without nav. I am just waiting for the eyebrow problem to be solved in the software updates before I have my TCU replaced under the recall, and to have the ipod interface installed at the same time.
