Hope everyone is doing well! I know this has been brought up annoyingly too much but can anyone point me in the direction of an OEM vendor that sells the cheap Ipod input cable. I am not willing to spend $400 just to hear music from my Ipod. I am completely capable of controlling my Ipod, through my ipod

Thanks in advance!!

1) Go to getbmwparts.com or contact member Evan@tischer here on the forum
2) buy the Aux Input cable ($61)
3) Go get it installed and coded - should be around $100 and this will also enable MP3 playback capability
4) Enjoy your iPod music

Do you know what the part number is for the Aux Input cable? If you happen to know where I can find the DIY for the installation, please point me towards that direction. If the price it's reasonable, I might get this done and get the mod my nav unit for rear back up and DVD capability for my daughter.

By any chance you know anyone who can code it to work in Nor. Cal? It seems like there are more people in So Cal and NY offering coding service than up here.

Thanks

I can't speak for this seller but I got mine from here with a similar listing.

Thanks for the reply. I already have the ipod connection cable. Now I'm just looking at other alternative to be able to play DVD in the car for my daughter. Currently she's using the portable strap behind the headrest but I hate that look so much. Other option was headrest mount DVD but just want to compare the prices to see which one is cheaper and better use in the long run.

Wow, this is new to me. Where does it plug in to? As far as i know, I have no aux input. I have an 05 545i, so no ipod/iphone hookup in the center arm rest. I do have the cd changer in glove box though.

You may have an AUX input on the back of the center console - facing the backseat.
