I have heard that the 2007 E60's will have improved IPOD/MP3 features. WHen is this improvement going to be implemented in production and what are the improvements?

Improvement? They dont have any as of right now. I wouldnt really call the AUX input a iPod compatibility thing... its a sound input. thats all.
And yes july they'll have somthing for the ipod for your E60. Check here
