Hi Guys,

It seems it is very difficult to find a good holder for my 80Gb ipod.
I am looking like the nokia phone holder . just press the phone in and you got everything like charging and hansfree.
I am looking for a holder , where you just have to press the ipod and you got it charged and have an audio output. I am using Kuda mount so i can fix it.

Any info on it please

Thk

See the grip holder pictured here...

If that works do a google search for gripmatic

Someone on this board installed the Apple iPod Dock in the ashtray.

That sounds like a lot of work. Other than being unique I would think it easier to install the MOST iPod adapter and leave the iPod in the glove box.

Yeah. But the question was asked about an easy-to-use dock.

Personally, I say just wait and get a Zune. To hell with Apple and the iPod.

Why would the Zune be any better? Other than a slightly larger display that Apple also has in the works.

A few reasons:

1. Zune will play any type of audio file. Apple won't allow a number of free formats such as Flac and Ogg. This is a big deal to me, because I hate AAC and MP3, and Apple Lossless isn't great either.

2. Zune will have built-in Wi-Fi.

3. Zune will be about 1/6 the price of an iPod... maybe less.

4. Zune won't use iTunes.

1. Flac and Ogg-vorbis would be nice but personally not an issue for a portable music player that I also use in the car. But it would be nice for home use if it had that support. I also don't think the Zune is supporting these codecs. Where did you read this?

2. The reviews have been questionable at best for their WiFi features. But I'll reserve judgement until I see one and get to use it.

3. Zune will be the same price as the iPod (actually a few cents more). The 30GB iPod retails for $249 while the Zune will retail for $249.99

4. That's a personal taste thing. I have no issues with iTunes. And I have other apps for Linux that will work with the iPod if I don't like iTunes.

One huge bonus that the iPod will have over the Zune player is that there is huge support already for the iPod. Even in my current BMW.
