Which way is thought to best connect your ipod? I guess im deciding between the factory kit that you'll loose you changer and the dension. I was quoted $450 for the factory wire and $600 for the dension. I've done a lot of searching around, but still not certtain which way to go. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I feel the Dension is better value for money because not only do you get the iPod connection you also get USB and optionally ipod video and bluetooth too. I feel Dension will try hard in the future to keep themselves better than BMW but in the end they are not BMW. I have great expectations from them including maybe one day simulating the TV module too so that you can get the video on the iDrive screen. The Dension does not have inbuilt bluetooth but you have to buy an optional extra for it, so no fear of interference, however with the Dension bluetooth you can stream A2DP from you phone to the car.
P.S. I think $600 for the dension is a bit much and I've seen it available for less. Maybe your price is with installation.
