Sup guys, I know this iPod retrofit thread is like beating a dead horse... but I need some help from the DIY experts. I have a 2007 E60 which didn't come with a CD changer. I have Logic 7 and this is what my glove compartment looks like:

The two closeup pictures of the connector above is the only loose wire I could find that would potentially connect to the iPod interface. Are there any other parts I need to make this work? Can you guys tell me which part #'s I need order?

Which CIP version contains the software that enables the iPod interface and how can I check what version I have in I-Drive?

Thanks John. I'll PM the resident E60 electrical guru.

But can anyone else help? I would like to get this mod done before I go on my holiday road trip to NorCal. Bump!

I may be wrong here but you need atleast a MOST feed besides the power cables to get this up and running. Did your car have the CD changer prep when you bought it.

Hi Ryan,
Look for a pair of shinny and rugged cable tied somewhere there in the glove compartment. It might be wrapped with wool tape.
The size of the cable is about 1/2 cm.

I'll take a look and see if I can find it. It's a single cable and not a bundled set? And it's thicker than the power cables pictured above?
