Ipod Aux Input and 676 Hi-Fi Option
#1
I have been using this forum for several months now and know that you can install an Aux input connector into an E60 to connect an Ipod / MP3 player.
However, I have been told by my dealer today that the Aux Input connection that I had installed before delivery cannot work if I have the 676 Hi-Fi upgrade option. Guess what guys.... I have the Hi-Fi option!
This means that I can have crisp and clear sound from the Hi-Fi upgrade but not have the aux input working.
The dealer tells me that the stereo does not have the capacity to take both the Aux Input and Hi-Fi upgrade. IS THIS TRUE? If so, does anyone know how this can be overcome? If not, does anyone know how to get this working together?
HELP!

Thanks - Vines BMW are telling me this but are unable to back this up with any facts. They are blaming BMW's UK distribution centre in Doncaster who fitted this option.
Does anyone know know how I convince them that this can be done or of a dealer in the UK that can definitely get this working?

BMW Whitehouse group fitted mine (their 1st) and I have the Hi Fi Loudspeaker system - tell them that and then where to stick it!

My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
Now youve done it, on my soap box now!! BMW dealers in general seem to be as much use as a chocolate fire guards. Its seems apparent to me that they are aware that their punters know more about their brand (this forum stands testament) so dont bother learning themselves. I had the sales manager of the local dealer telling me that MP3 was not available in any set up. But we all no different dont we children...Oh yeh he didnt know how to use the L7 HIFI either....bill is in the post for the training course I gave him. :bashwall:
