hi there
noticed everybody is looking for usb connection or ipod connections. i got this 525 with m package. i asked the dealer if i could have this usb connection but nothing was possible. do u or anybody know how to get usb in my car. really want it cant even play mp3 discs in my bmw quite strange for a car from 2005. and quite annoying I paid almost 33000 euro for this car and only a single f****ing cd player avaiable. Not even an aux avaiable on the console I want to connect harddisks usb sticks or anything especially in a car which new price was nearly 60000 euro.
can someone help me out????????????????

What year is your car? I'm fairly certain the '08s have USB support & that this might not be a "mod" for the older cars. You may want to search the message board for other posts about this but I think there are after market solutions for connecting USB sticks & hard drives to your audio system, I just haven't spent too much time looking into it. I'll be happy if I can get my Zune hooked up via the AUX audio today.

You should go get the Dension Gateway 500.. it'll be everything that you are requesting for.
Since your car is a 2005, it doesnt have a "BMW USB retrofit", but the dension has it. I think it is only for CCC cars, not MASK. so if you have Navigation, you should be set, if you dont, you might not be able to use this upgrade.

Hi Stormbird...can I add this to my 2005 525i? I have the regular aux input which I had installed and yes the ipod sounds great inside the car but I hate having to change songs from the ipod. Thanks
