I think i am just going to go back to the dealer and find out more about this ipod thing if it is actually available. It sounds like it would be worth the money.

I have the IPOD connector in my 2002 330CIC, and it really sucks. Not even close to worth the $300 bucks it cost me. The way it works is, in Itunes on your PC, you create 5 playlists calling them BMW 1-5. It acts as a CD changer would. Their is no song display, not even on the IPOD. Way tooooo much maintenance for very little reward.

I would wait for the bluetooth. First I have heard of it, but I would be the first in line. Well good luck.

The BT iPod doesn't exist yet - still a rumor (but a pretty good one). The allure is the possiblity of controlling your iPod via iDrive and the steering wheel buttons.

So let's say Apple releases a Bluetooth iPod this summer. How long would it take BMW to release a software update to make it work in your E60? 2007?

That's very disappointing to hear. I have been waiting for the interface cable to be available for my '05 530i, and am told by the SA that it is still not available but he checks every few weeks to see if it becomes available. I will post here as soon as I find out more info.
