i bought the ipod hardwire hook up from bmw. i use it where i can see the artists names and every time i select an artist and when i want to change to a different artist it takes me back to the start of my artist list. for example if im listening to sublime and then want to listen to the smiths it takes me back to the letter A(all my songs and artist are listed from a-z) my ?,is there anyway to make it when i want to change it will take me back to the artist im on so i dont have to scroll thru the whole alphabet? i have over 30gigs of music and for 400$ its kinda of a pain in the ass! please help

Nope. That's one of the problems with the retrofit. One "fix" is to group artists under genre - example - ABC genre would include the Beach Boys. That will make scrolling a bit simpler.

so the one i bought from bmw is a retrofit adapter?i thought i was hardwiring it and thats why i was paying $400 dollars! is there a beter way of doing this? more user friendly that would be hardwired so i can still get the best sound? thanks
