Hi again

Now my Ipod is installed, it has been for some time now, and thanks to you wonderfull people here at E60.

BUT, now i have got my self another challenge, i have alot of music in my Ipod, and when i scroled the Idrive under all artist it stops at the letter "J" i asked my dealer they toled me that, the limit is 250 artist or albums, thats not very mutch in my world and makes it alittle tricky if i wanted to hear Van Halen and Whitesnake, that is offen the case :-)
Playlists works better but still not the right way in my world, but i wnted to hear the forum about this, before i find my baseball bat and go to my dealer :-) is this the limit of the Ipod intergration ?

I can easily help you out with this dilemma. I had this dilemma with my ipod until... I found out the Dension Gateway 500 fixes all those limitations, Playlists, artists list, song list. They dont have any limitation. And they cache the lists from your ipod so it loads instantly, compared to Ipod integration kit, which sometimes takes forever to load.

ITs a direct swap / plug and play. I did this for myself and sold the ipod kit. Only thing you have to pay a little extra, and you get USB! =)

there is no fix for those limitations in BMW Ipod kit. Only thing you can do it swap it out for the Dension Gateway 500.

Check out this link. I had the Ipod OEm kit before I swapped out for the dension.

Almost, you just have to change out some fiber optic wiring and just tape the power module from the original ipod plug. Really simple.
