We need some mor info on your car: - Does it have sat nav? If so, M-ASK (small screen, no maps), or CCC (large split screen, two in-dash cd/dvd) - Does your in-dash cd plays mp3 cd's - Do you have a cd-changer |

Hi Stilling
If you are how I think you are :) , take contact to me ( you know me privat mail + tlf. no. ), an I-Pod instalation should not be a problem in your car at all . either my mechanic in Herning , or our friend on Fyn will be able to perform coding this option for you :) Regards from the western part of Denmark  |
I just had the dealer swap my BMW iPod adapter from my non-nav & no CD changer '04 530 to my nav CD changer equipped '05 545. Both units functioned the same. Full control from iDrive. I don't know why your car would be any different

Yes, you can have your car be fitted with the Ipod. Your dealer has no idea what he's talking about.
I have a 2004 530i. (09/2003 production date). I don't have Nav, I have the MASK system and I dont have a Multi-CD changer. It can be done. It might just costs some money. Good luck my man. |
I just burned a playlist from Itunes in MP3 format, and my stereo can?t plya it, "unable to read the media" somthing in that direction it says, so it cant :-(

Ok, then you're car needs programming. Check if you have a Professional radio (I believe it's option code 663, but I'm not completely sure). You should be able to have the Ipod interface mounted.
Perhaps you should call another dealer? |
