Hi nigxdoof !

I was wondering if instead of using the white dock adapter and the scoche passport , how about if I use scosche passport dock :

here it is

http://cgi.ebay.com/SCOSCHE-BLACK-CHARGING...:1|293:1|294:50

Do you think it will work the same or do I need scosche passport also.

Thanks

I dont thin it'll work. If you look at the description at the bottom of the auction, it says you cannot use Audio and video features with this dock, just charging.. I think. U can always try it.

Here is the one that I built about a year ago. I actually did not use the ashtray, but used the actual ashtray holder piece of plastic and molded my iphone tray into the holder. It works well, but only if you do not have a case on your iphone. My iPhone 3g now has an Incipio Feather thin case on it, and it no longer fits in the holder. I will probably be redoing this thing in the near future. I am thinking about using a universal dock this time so that I will have the ability to swap out different size trays.

That's right. Sorry, saw your pm a few months ago. I've been off these boards for a while now! I don't remember why I didn't use the ashtray originally, there was a good reason for it (I think). Now I am going to have to tear apart the center console again and dremel out the bondo and re-work the new dock into it! Not looking forward to it, and might not do it....

I wonder if the ashtray holder has clearance for this? ->
