It's cool, don't sweat it. It's just that we become frustrated when we try to answer you and then find a bunch of similar posts asking the same question. I have a hard time figuring out if I answered you or not and if so, where I did it...

Be patient, we'll get you up and running in no time!

You would'nt need a radar detector RType if you followed the posted speedlimit.

You also wouldnt need police if everyone followed the laws

katheikia, in my E90, the +12 Volt wire was lime green and white...

"r type" became quite angry and left the forum months ago...dont expect a response

Well hmm. That's no good. I really wanted to see if someone could create one the same rear view that he had. that's the biggest thing I was concerned about. I need to be able to hide the display module. I was thinking about using the air vent and mounting it in there.

I don't know the costs but this place can do it for you:
http://www.technik1.com/electronics.html

Or, if that's no good, I saw this contact on another board that may or may not be able to do the etching for you:
Ai Design
64 Marbledale Rd
Tuckahoe, NY 10707
914.779.9000

Finally, you might get lucky with this place:

I am looking for a radar/laser detector that is effective, small and can be integrated with I-Drive so that I don't have to put any additional instrument inside the car. I don't mind putting something in the front or rear. Let me also say that I have never used these 'speed detection' devices in the past.

Thanks Guys well I have been custumizing cars for 15 years so far this was a tough one and everyone ddint think it was possible.

The mirror is an art in its own, it is not sandblasted or etched, the chemicals are not even availible in the USA I imported them from France. The Display is 100% transparent and clean

You need a ton of chemicals, acids and stuff to do this, not a real DIY job since you can ruin the $500+ mirror.

If anyone has any interest I will do the mirrors for you and walk you through the install you can mount the V1 in the armrest or Rear parcel shelf in a leather covered pod.
I have 35lbs of chemicals I need to use them now, come on lets get mirror happy.

And tye V1 is better than the escort, Oh just a hint Mike Valentine designed both, I think they are parent companies.

You can email me off here for more details
indesignz284@aol.com
Oh I also Killed myself taking the car apart and wrote the procedures down for everything.
Awesome Job!!! But, Looks like the email address u posted is wrong.. it is not going through.. pls verify.. Thanks.
