Any pictures of this when everything is put back together? I'm interested in doing something like this, but I am thinking about buying the peices so I can replace them with the originals when my lease is up. I live in VA so I have to make sure its really concealed.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Astounding! Utterly astounding! I am in awe.
And here I am. trying to get my dealer to install the hardwiring in the overhead, and they claim it can't be done. Instead, they want $300 to snake it down to a lighter socket. Lazy/greedy fakers.
One photo suggestion: Lable your close up detail shots or take a perspective (not so close up) shot of the part being described. They are so close, I can't tell mirror guts from an armrest...
Still amazed. Many thanks.

I tried to hardwire my V1 last night for one hour with no success, I atached the power to the green wire a couple of inches above were it conects to the sunroof switch, does it matter what part of the green wire you attach to? and grounded it to one of the torque screws, could not get it to turn on. Im very upset, after all that, nothing happened. Any sugestions? PLEASE HELP

katheikia, I mean no disrespect but you really need to stop posting the same question all over the forums. It's called spamming and it makes it very difficult for people to offer you assistance.
If you follow the instructions I linked you to (in some other thread) from Don Juan's install, you should be able to get yours working. Just be sure your ground wire is making contact with a metal screw into a metal part of the car...
