I'm planning to add the GW500 with IVE1000 video adapter and add the DVD option module and a Backup-Camera at the same time.
GW500 with IVE1000 should be straight forward and have found plenty of threads here to help me with the install.

I have found and want to add this DVD-video output module (I'm pretty sure from this forum somewhere)
http://www.tvandnav2go.com/bmw-tv-navigation.html

My questions are:
Have anybody installed these combo? How does this tvandnav device work, specially in conjunction with the gw500?
Where would you install a DVD player and what would be a good unit for this install - compact and good quality?
I'm going to also add the backup camera into this module. Would this be possible?
Once this is all installed, Do you think I will be able to play the ipod-video (and make use of the IVE) and have the video show up on the nav oem screen?

Have anybody added all these options?

thanks
This is the most friendly and helpful community I have ever been part of - Thanks.

I'll throw the ACM and USB for ACM in the mix too - while you're at it.

Sorry for the newbee Q. What is the ACM and if it is what I think it is, how would it help while I will add the tvtonav unit that I mentioned? and GW500 does come with the USB option addded to it. How does the ACM USB would be more useful?

thanks for your insight Bruce.

audio comes direct from the iPod via MOST-so it's even better compared to Aux audio of my DVD changer (this is because there is no distortion@ interferance at all). only the video output of the IVE1000 is connected to the video interface module...

i highly recommend this additional add-on accessory for those that already have the Dension GW500 & a video interface module! (e.g-ACM/ GNet/ TV&Nav/ NavTV etc.) it makes the GW500 even more superior in terms of functionality...and it's not expensive...you guys can check the pricing by googling it...

your iPod video playback is fully integrated with your idrive system...you can fast forward / rewind the video playing via your steering wheel buttons. it's exactly like controlling your audio cd's/dvd's...

even the picture quality is good...(but don't compare it with DVD videos...i can confirm that it can't beat DVD's. But it's equivelant to VCD's in terms of picture quality...)

I'll post up pictures soon!
