Cool

as i promised in a previous post of our forum member, muttley's thread, http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=48749&st=0 (see post 15), i'm posting pictures of what this great gadget does in integration with the BTA1000...the sound quality of ipod, usb hdd, thumbdrive, a2dp audio playback via bluetooth and the phone function works great...it also retains the cdc, so i can still play my 6 discs if i want...i've attached here pictures of the UI when in use...

i actually have OEM bluetooth in the car connected with a V3i as primary...Now i can use both my phone via bluetooth while in the car...

so, this is how it'll look and function when Dension GW500 + BTA1000 is hooked up...i'm planning to order the IVE1000 which will hook up to the ACM...this will make the ipod video function work with movie on the screen displayed...

yes...it is plug & play if you have a (1)CD Changer and have (2)enabled mp3 functionality on your CCC or M-ASK Pro...

but if you :
(1)don't have a CDC & mp3 function @ (2) have CDC but don't have mp3 enabled @ (3) don't have CDC but have mp3 function,

then it's not considered as plug & play coz u have to get it programmed via Progman Update with SSS that has to be done by the dealer.

hope this answered your questions...

To tell you the truth, i didn't install it myself. didn't have the balls to tear up the car...it was done at a local workshop at my place here. i'm not the 'handy' type...

but, if you do it right, it's actually not that hard to install, especially after a detail diy posted by muttley. my setup just had an extra module installed with the GW500, the BTA1000 which allows bluetooth connectivity with the phone and a2dp audio with pda's/handphones to work, and it works great...crystal clear sound! next project will be the add-on IVE1000 which gives it the function to play ipod video...

Which hard disk size do you use?

I use a 120 GB 2.5 Inch hard disk and it works perfectly.
The only thing I notice is a regularly check of the tracks on the disk. That takes several minutes (10 - 20) and "searching track" is displayed
