A few things...
1. Roy - Looks sick! Love the red.
2. Both of my scoops are black and I want them to be red. What paint did you use? How many coats did you apply? I might do this tomorrow.
3. Was the sticker easy to take off? I'm thinking the stickers on mine, might be a bit harder to remove, since my scoops have been on the car for quite some time.
4. How's the performance? Notice a difference? I can absolutely tell the difference on my car. I recently drove a stock M and it was very noticeable.
Looks GREAT Roy. Good job man.
1. Thanks C
2. I used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch-Apple Red (perfect color)
3. The original rpi letterings that came with the black scoop, i did not remove. I don't think its possible to remove. What I did was go to a rpi website and got their logo, print it, enlarge it to the size I want.....tape it to a sticker and with a exacto knife cut it out. After that you would get a rpi white sticker which i then peeled off...position it and stick it to the black scoop. Then I sprayed 3 to 4 thin coats on the scoop, back first (just in case I mess up) then the front. After it dries, I peeled off the sticker and you have your rpi in black...almost how i did my BMW letterings on my calipers but that was in negative.
4. Have not had a chance to drive the car yet, as I just installed last night, also i have not replaced the aFe back to stock yet. I am going to try it with aFe and then return to stock.
