installed m5 mirrors but they won't work, I'm desperate
thanks to member ETNav382 for his DIY I finally installed my m5 mirrors. now that everything is put back together I find out that the mirrors won't work when I move em trough the door switch, they are dead.
my car is a 2008 lci and the m5 mirrors are lci as well so I thought it was going to be plug and play. the plug is the same as the one in my original mirrors so I thought they were going to work even though the new mirrors have autofold which the original ones didn't have.
I really really appreciate your help on this guys. thanks

Were the mirrors verified to be working when you bought them?
Did the wiring and plug look ok?
Are you sure you plugged them in? I asking because I thought I had plugged in the door airbag one time and didn't and now have a restraint error.
Have you tried to put an old mirror back on to verify it's not your car and it is the mirrors.

Just to be clear these are OEM M5 mirrors and not replica's correct? Also do you mean you can't adjust the mirrors or that they don't autofold like they do on a regular M5.

I am at washington dc at the present time so haven't got the chance to test em but will do as soon as I get back which should be on July 6. Just wondering if maybe someone came across the same problem as this situation is stealing my good nights. btw they are oem mirrors guys

The first thing to do is put your old one's back on and see if they work. If they do work then you know it's the M5 mirrors you have that don't work properly. Also like "ETNav382" mentioned check with the vendor. Also were these brand new mirrors never installed or used?

one was used and the other was brand new from a dealer. I just wanted to make sure that they should work, now I'm really worry as it seems that everything should work I'll let you know when I test one of the old ones. and yes, they are dead, not moving from the controls so I even had to adjust em manually.
