not always.. If too much back pressure is an issue for you, then yeah you wanna go bigger pipes. People usually do that when they add Forced induction (supercharger, turbocharger) to their car, because the car would be sucking in too much air, so in order not to create a bottleneck they go with bigger exhaust size. But for our car, without any FI, bigger pipes would only create problems. Esp when you are adding quad setup, smaller diameter pipes is the right decision.

Looking to do the M5 rear bumper... What is the difference between a custom Magnaflow exhaust to Umnitzas quad exhaust. Umnitza actually said it has proven gains in all models and the price is not bad at all.

Whatever option you choose there is a few things you want to find out. Is the entire exhaust setup is stainless steel and not just the muffler, what kind of stainless steel is it, what diameter is the pipe, is it mandrel bent. I'm not sure if Umnitza listed this type of information on the exhaust that he sells but I'd find out, and also check with Magnaflow and see what they say about theirs. As far as sound Magnaflow is going to be the louder exhaust, but also with more of a drone.

My Ride: 2006 530xi (Titanium Grey/ Black interior) Debaged, L.e.d. light upgrade throughout. ACS roof spoiler. H&R sport sprigs, Angel eye upgrade, euro sticker, ,matte black grills.
Does anyone know info on the car chemistry inserts for the exhaust. I want to order a set but I'm not sure if I need a 2 disc or 3 disc set up. It's supposed help the mufflers breathe and not got backpressure.
Anyone?
