For a rep, they are nice. I know OEM M5 mirrors are expensive, but on a car like this the OEM M5 mirrors looks better.

oh yeah.. you guys are right.. the mirrors don't look like the E39 ones, but also not exactly like the E60 ones... They're like a hybrid of the two!! Looks real good for a rep.

nice lookin' reps. the only thing it doesn't have are the puddle lights. to me, not having puddle lights and/or auto fold, would be deal breakers for me.

alright then, give it a try. btw, ECU and motor is 2 different parts, am I correct?

I paid HKD 2400 for the replicas,
Yes, they are 2 different parts. Look at slide 14 - you see the motor there. And behind the motor, you'll find the ECU...

good luck and post results..

They are nice, but the wiring need to be modified first.

good luck!

BTW - i think they look more like m3 e46 mirrors than the e39 m5 mirrors.. They are definitely the best replicas i have seen till now..

Hi All

I am suffering a problem of the replica M5 mirror. My car is 2006 530i, as you all knows that my OEM wiring (post 09/05) is 3 wires with one connector, but the mirror I bought is a 8 wires 2 connectors (4 wires in one connector). I already have the mirror painted, but my mechanic was telling me that the wire and connector won't fit. Therefore, I need help from you guys, is there any possibilities to convert this 8 wires motor into 3 wires? or can I disassemble the old motor and put it on the new mirror?

My 530i has autofold, heater, auto dimming, and memory functions.

Please HELP!!
I got manual fold mirrors a week ago and installed them yesterday. I have similar problems with wiring... I have 4 wires leaving my original mirrors and reps got also 4 and 5.. but 5 wires are similar coloured as original but it does not work even I changed the plastic connector.

Another problem occurred.
Passenger side mirror sits fine and looks normal but for some reason driver side mirror is odd. To get proper rear view I have to set the mirror to an extreme position and still half of the mirror is showing the side of the car and only the other half shows the actual rear view? This is very unpractical for my dad, who uses the car often, is taller than I am and sits farther back and the mirror can not be turned any further

How about you jtsui.. do they fit perfectly on your car.

I like they look better though than original E60 mirrors, not meaning M5 mirrors.
