Inner Headlamp bulb not switching on? How to do it?

aha! so i am not alone!

Now could someone please advise on any mod possible to hotwire it and make it work too as main beams?

There's nothin' you can do, it's only cosmetic ... it's empty inside.

On LCI cars, the inner bulb is the cornering light (the main beams function as the flash to pass...)

Have someone sit in the car while in reverse and you'll see the cornering lights illuminate. Another idea is to have someone put it in drive and turn the wheel sharply in one direction and/or use the turn signal. (They won't stay illuminated too long so you have to coordinate things with two people unless the car is facing something reflective like a window, etc.)

Play around a bit and you'll see what I mean...

But the OP LCI headlight is the one w/o cornering light function (clear lens instead of frosted) which I don't think is available in US market.

Wow, that's kind of a bummer. I have pre-lci, so mine work as high beams.

All LCI uses the high beam from the Bi-Xenon I guess BMW figured out the Xenon works better than the Halogen.

ok guys, so what are the odds that i can put in a halogen there and hotwire it with the main beam to work along with it? will it work?
