I need to replace my front brake pads and rotors on my 2004 545i. I have done research but have not come to a conclusion...
What I would like.
Pads:
Squeak free and dust free pads. Front and Back.
Rotors:
Front Slotted/Vented and Rear Slotted/Vented.
For the Vendors on the forum. Can you give me a price on a Package deal?
I am leaning towards the Cool Carbon pads from BavAuto. However I'm not sure where to get the rotors.
If you guys can help me out I'd appreciate it.

If all you are doing is street driving theres not much use in slotted and vented and drilled rotors, unless you just like the look of them.
I'd stick with Ate or Zimmerman rotors, and try Ate, Textar or Mintex pads. You'll be happy with the braking performance and still save a bundle doing it yourself.
I find BAVAUTO to have a good selection of parts but their prices are a little on the high side and the freight charges can be outrageous on some items, like brake rotors. They wanted $65 to ship four rotors to Houston, TX!
Try these vendors: ECSTUNING or autohausaz or pelicanparts. They have good service, selection and pricing.

Thank you. That was great help. What you think of Centric rotors and EBC Yellow kevlar pads? I like the look of slotted rotors but I might just stick to regular rotots.

Ok so I went to Auto Parts Warehouse.com and found 4 Centric Rotors and EBC Yellow Kevlar Pads for $461 with free shipping and 15% off. So I'm going to order these. Thanks again.

Be sure to replace the wear sensors as well or you'll never get the iDrive message to clear.
Good luck with the new set-up.

Guys I received the centric rotors and noticed that they do not have the metal circles around the rotor like the oem ones have. What are these circles for? Can I still use these rotors or do I need to return them? My car has dsc/dtc. Can those be sensors of some sort? I was looking forward to doing the brakes tomorrow afternoon and now may be screwed. Please help me out.

The circles i'm talking about can be seen on pelican parts above. The OEM Rotors have them but the Zimmermann do not

Im a bit confused, what circle are you talking about? Is it on the face of the rotors, not the part that the pad makes contact with? Just trying to undertand before giving advice since I changed my whole setup myself, thanks.
