Ching-Ho Cheng,

It took a bit longer than I thought but here you go...
(in my opinion, this isn't worth the DIY if you're still under warranty in the US)

Instructions for replacing front brake linings (pads):
MST_Replacing_brake_linings_on_both_front_disk_brakes.pdf

Instructions for replacing front brake disks (rotors):
MST_Removing_and_installing_both_front_brake_disks.pdf

(As always, you can follow the embedded links in the document (marked by a rectangle around the text) and you can navigate the document by using the bookmarks or Adobe's "back" button.)

Rudy,

Thanks for the instructions. US dealers (Boston) refused to cover the cost to replace the brake rotors even my car is still new and under warranty. They said that rotor wrappage due to corrosion is not covered under the brake/rotors warranty !!!!
They are going to charge me a leg or an arm to replace the rotors. I would do it myself.

Thanks again.

Rudy,

I looked at the instruction, it showed me everything that I need to know especially the torque spec.

Thanks,

I would not let them off the hook so easily. unless you did something to intentionally abuse the car, the rotors on a 2005 should not have corroded so much so as to warp. Talkl to the sales manager, and if that does not work, talk to BMWNA.

Good advice...brake rotors should not be overly sensitive to corrosion - especially since they are a "safety" item on the car...if you are under warranty, BMW should cover this.... I mean it's not like you purposely abused the rotors by spraying them with acid or anything...sounds more like defective rotors to me?

I would think after more than two years, this issue has been resolved...

I think you clicked a link to this thread from a more current one and didn't realize how old it was when you replied...
