To clarify: the centric rotors came with a slight warp in them and the EBC yellow stuff are horrible they produce just about the same amount of brake dust as the bmw oem pads.

I'm thinking I should just cough up the $$ for M5 rotors and pads

Ok so I did some research and the front 545i rotors are 348x30 and the rears are 345x24. The M5's are 374x36 front and 370x24 rear. Which means they do not work with the 545i calipers. I would need a whole brake upgrade and I was not looking to do that.

That is correct, you would need to upgrade the entire system to use M5 brakes. Another (more cost effective) option is to PM either Nerweezy (Trinity Autosport) or Acuteperformance (Acute Performance - Michael) and get a quote for R1 Concepts rotors and the Hawk pads. I have the pads (From Acute) and they are AWESOME!!!!!! Those are the best vendors ever!!!!

Just an update on my set up. I have Bav Auto drilled brake rotors and Ceramic Hawk Brake pads. They stop great, no squeels and No brake dust. Problem solved.
