Don't forget, this is for all Non-US cars. US cars did not have folding until the LCI 2008 E60's. The E60 M5's also have folding too.
I believe I was the second person to get folding working for 2004-2007 Non M5 E60's. The first person stated he got the modules to work but I never saw movies of it. I have since then sold my mirrors to another member here with the folding option.
Good luck with the programming. If you are able to get it, it'll be awesome!
Also, US mirrors do not have the folding motor too.

Someone in Europe can actually make a lot of money in this area. Keep buying new door modules, get them coded in Europe and ship them over to the US.
Yes, for some strange reason dealers in the US will not code the door modules.
Ofcourse this method is only used on pre-Sep2005 cars with memory seats i.e. High Door Modules. Post Sep2005 cars use the Body Control Module and don't have any door modules.
Whew!! thank goodness all my hard work of converting a post-Sep2005 to a pre-Sep2005 mirror paid off. I hope you are getting the reverse dip and auto-dimming programmed in a well.

Well i just had my door modules coded and now have Auto folding mirrors, so happy. Programming took 45mins, should work on any pre- 2005 e60.

I'd just like to thank you Bruce for all your hard work in getting my M5 mirror's to work as you had promised,an added bonus was that I did'nt even have to get them sprayed as mine's a silver grey and your mirror's were a space grey but when the mirror's were fitted you could'nt tell the difference!I will post some pic's up soon as it's quite cold and misty here at the moment.About the autodim and reverse dip can all be done but I could'nt wait and told them to code them in when it's warmer.
