Sorry to hear about your troubles

General Exclaim UHP, best bang for the buck

... if you can still find any of the Michelin Pilot A/S being discounted @ ~50% off, then those would be a good buy as well.
+1 General Exclaims are an awesome tire for the money.

Run Flat Tire.... Bummer!

OK... time to vent a bit. I've seen on this post that in some cases the RFT's can be repaired, however you have to find a shop to do it. Furthermore, BMW states as a policy not to repair the RFT's. Now to add even more fun to this is, I ended up w/ a nail the tread of my rear RFT, so went to America's Tire shop near by. Low and behold, BMW has a 'deal' of some sort with Bridgestone to include a damning little bit of text directly on their OEM tires. "DO NOT REPAIR TIRE". Crap... dead in the water. I don't know if there is any shop that would take the liability of repairing a tire that states this. Why the heck did BMW make this arrangement other that to sell more tires! In my specific case, my rear RFT's only have 5800 miles on them!!!

Attachment 69596

I already need 2 new front RFT's, now a rear... so...

I am looking for recommendations for new NON-RFT's all around that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks!
Looking at your pic it appears to be only a finger nail in your tire...shouldn't be too bad

Thanks all for the feedback... Sounds like General Exclaims have the nod at this point in time to replace my RFT's. Digging into TireRack.com, they're ranked high with great ratings considering the miles logged in reviews (something like 9M+ miles rated). Something else that speaks volumes is the high rating of "Would buy again."

So in short... the nail in my rear RFT will not be an issue too much longer!

(note the difference from being NAILED in the rear vs. HAVING a nail in the rear! )

UPDATE:

I ordered up a set of General Exclaims from Nerweezy (Trinity) which arrove in record time. I just had them installed here locally and although have not been able to put a lot of miles in yet, diggin' the move away from the RFT's!

Thanks all for the feedback and Nerweezy for hooking me up on tires!
