i know you spent a grip on those advans but you should really look into JIC coilovers, its a much better design and honestly those ksports are nice but the markup is pretty big on them, if you could get the for 600 then id say yes but at a 1000 id just get JICs

acuteperformance sells ksport and JICs and i love mine

I got H&R fully threaded coilovers on my 545i. Had H&R race springs on my stock sport struts and theres definitely a noticeable improvement in ride, response, and performance over my last setup. Not looking to track my 5 series so these were "good enough" as I wanted to buy from a reputable manufacturer like H&R as my last 7 setups were H&R on previous cars.

I wanted to aggressively lower my car on 20" wheels and used 1/3rd of the threads in the fronts and 1/2 the threads in the rear and was able to achieve a nice tire tuck all around. I paid $700 used as they were used for 2-3,000 miles. At that price I say their worth every penny as long as you know what you're getting into. If I spent more than that I probably would have gone FK or KW. Everyone gives K-Sports great reviews which is all probably true...it's just in the PAST years on other applications I haven't heard such good things which ultimately turned me off from pursuing. That said I kept it safe with the H&R's. No complaints here.

Truthfully with all the reviews out there I don't think you can really go "wrong" with any manufacturer that this board recommends.

Hope this helps.

Which model JIC coilovers are about $1000? Where do you get them?

Unless you're tracking or doing frequent canyon runs...Cross is overkill.
As nice as they are, they are overkill for the average application.

I've been using H&R coilovers since December 2007...no problems for me, but I don't have any other brand to compare them too..
