How do I know what Size Tires to Get for Snows?

My Ride: 2009 DINAN 135 convertible
Hi, I am looking at a set of wheels to use for snow tires, and the wheels are 17 X 8.
What size tires do I need to fit on these so that my speedo and everything is accurate? I can never seem to figure out tire sizing.
I have 18 inch sport package (124) wheels on it now.
