How difficult to remove the iDrive

I want to add the TV/DVD to my iDrive. I understand that Dom from navwithtv has an RGB unit and can also supply a DVD with built in TV which I am assuming will work in the UK? Dom'd unit I think fits behind the iDrive so how difficult is it to remove??
I routing cables to the boot difficult??
