Ok so I've been trying to program my homelink on my 06 530i with no luck. I called today and myself and the representative went through the normal steps and it did not work.

So what she advise me to do was:

1. Hold remote behind #3 button
2. Press and hold down #1 and the clicker button on remote
3. You should get a rapid light.
4. Let go
5. Hold #1 again and you should get a solid light, let go
6. Now you go to the homelink learn button
7. Hold down your #1 and you should get a rapid light after about 3 seconds

You're good to go.

Yup! Finally, I don't have to call home every time I'm down the street.
