Hi, i wanted to upgrade my sound system on my 2008 e60(with CIC) from regular stereo to HiFi(not logic 7), i added the tweeters and changed out subs and door speakers, but i did not want to change the whole wiring of the car so is there any way i could connect the amp to the car with aftermarket wires?
Unfortunately you will have to add whole wiring for the higher audio system, otherwise connecting to the old wiring only front doors and back panel might work, even subs need extra power from higher tear amp.
For CIC you need big Hifi amp. Cars before CIC had HiFi amp only for subs, cars with CIC have amp for all speakers. I did this to my car, then i did upgrade to Logic7. You need 17 wires from CIC to amp. 8 output from CIC to amp, 1 for remote, 8 back from amp to speakers. You need 4 wires from amp to subs. Ground is connected to grund part near to amp, + is connected to te trunk fuses. You can took schematis for E90 Hifi amp for CIC. Is same.
