Naturally, being a cheap bastard, I thought the idea to try this was a great one...

call me crazy, but where did you get those slim ballasts from on Khoalty's site???

They are usually listed on this page, but I guess he is out of stock. Post #8 of this thread lists an alternative resource.

i used the DDM total came to 80 after shipping -- will for sure be contacting you when they arrive -- i'm interested in how you can tell just by looking at the error connectors whether which side is upside down??

The key is too match up the positive and negative from the error cancellor correct with the positive and negative of the car. In my case, connecting the cancellor the "right" way (the way it is made to "click" in) was not the way our car needs it to be. On the drivers side the positive is yellow, so the red on the cancellor should match up with it (like in the pic). I assume the passenger side colors are the same, but I didn't take a picture of them.

It'll make more sense when you get the pieces.
