Hey guys, I was looking for HID kits for my 2006 525xi, and i came across the link below on ebay. The seller claims this kit will not make any sensors on the car go off or give you any error messages. Can this be true?

PS...i bougth the Xenon bulbs that Jimmy 545 was selling, they are just regular bulbs, they dont' seem to be that great as the site make it out to be.

It may work but sometimes you get what you pay for. I would look for something from an established vendor that can/will stand behind their products. My.02

I am a newbie to this site as I await delivery of my 08 520d M Sport LCI this Friday. Fortunately my new car has the Visibilty pack.

My current car (until Friday) is a Z4 Coupe which I did retrofit HID lamps. They are for sale (but I am in the UK). The main problem you will have is that pre facelift E60 do not have fish eye headlights, therefore if you do try and retrofit the HID lights, there will be no beam control and will blind on coming drivers. More importantly they will not pass any government vehicle inspections. It is also mandatory in the UK to have headlamp washer system with any HID lights. Luckily the Z4 had the headlamp washers as standard.

If you do have the fish eye lenses, then the HID kits are really simple to fit and do not interfere with the electronics. Mine were from www.hids4u.co.uk and I had to purhase the Ulitmate set as they have better ballasts and relays to work with modern ECU's.

Hopefully I can answer further questions if you have any.
