your car will be black
therefore
-101 are difficult to clean, look good indeed but on silver cars like znod's
-166 are very common and will also show that you are trying to copy the m5 but very nice looking wheels
-172 look best on black cars and will not see many around there too that would be my choise
i would also consider 167 as SergeyM said if i wanted a more sporty look
all that is just My opinion didnt mean to offend anyone who has one of those wheels

thanx to a member of the forum i borrowed those
take a look at them and think about it

I got the 89s - I love the look and have never seen another car with them. But, if I had it to do all over again, I'd go with the 172s.

I would choose the M6 wheels. A member on this board has them on a black e60. Heres a pic I found on a white one non-sport

I agree - M6 rims look much better than the M5 rims, plus you won't get the rep as a M5 wannabe

uhmmm not sure about that. The M6 rims are way extreme and sporty for the E60.... E60 is way luxurious sporty sedan for those.
The M5 or 172!!!! wheel is a different story.... sporty but classy and elegant at the same time.
the M6 wheels are way to extreme "street racer" style IMHO

BTW I do not see the M5 rims being M5 wannabe too much those days.... it is just another OEM wheel you can order at a dealer....
in that case is not M6 rims an M6 sedan saloon wish to be ?

thats my opinion
and if for example i had a set of 167s and one of 166s in my garage right now i would first have the 167s on and then the 166s
but if there was a big difference in price but could still afford the more expensive 167s i would go for the cheaper 166s
